Re: [apple-iphone] Re: Palm Treo memos

Export contacts as vcards and they'll go into iPhone contacts easily.

My recollection is that I copied my Palm memos and tasks, etc. into both MS Word on my PC and also into an email that I sent to my self.

I was then able to take from the email and paste into Notes on my Mac.  I was also able to read the MS Word file on my Mac and copy and paste from there.

Contacts was more involved as it took awhile to copy and paste the individual info but I was able to do it.  This also allowed me to clean up my address files and consolidate several into one for people at the same business.

I can still use the Palm software on my PC when needed.

We have been Palm users since PalmPilot days who are finally getting around to switching to the iPhone.  One of our big problems is the Memos we've created over the years - well over 2000 - which we are not very anxious to have to enter again by hand.

I've had a look here and around the net but haven't yet found any way to get them transferred to the iPhone.  Does anyone know how to go about it?  If it's been covered somewhere else, can someone point me to that?

I assume that on the iPhone they would be what are called Notes, but I haven't been terribly impressed with the native Notes app.  On the other hand, it looks to me that the Evernote app does things very well.  Is this a good way to go?  Would it make the Memo transfer easier?

I would very much appreciate any suggestions.

Many Thanks
