Re: [apple-iphone] Updating iOS devices

There is no harm in trying OTA. Fine some place with public wifi like McDonalds.

So, did iOS 8.1.3 resolve the huge size by that much, that it now makes sense to do it OTA?

With the possible exception of those without enough available space on their iOS device.

The reason I ask is that I do not currently have internet access at home and I seem to have problems downloading the upgrade into iTunes at the public library.

Forget doing it on the iMac. Update using OTA (Over The Air).

On each device go to:

Settings> General> Software Update

It is fast and easy.

There is a new iOS update and we have four (4) iOS devices. Instead of downloading this update 4 times, can I download it once, save it and update the devices from iTunes or someplace else on my iMac? Downloading it for 30 min at a time takes up a lot of bandwidth. Thanks, Tanya
