[apple-iphone] iPhone App Store Updates in 7.0.6

My son has a problem on his iPhone 4S running 7.0.6. When he goes to App Store to Update apps, when he clicks Update, it just opens the app, but doesn't do an update. Does anyone know how to get the updates to work?
