Brent, I think you are correct about this. My problem right now is not with the iPhone as much as my computer mail which times out when I try to put it in trash. The second try works.
Same thing when sending or especially replying to an email. It says the port timed out or try another outgoing address which sometimes works; What I found out today is that after it says it won't send on my set up address, if I click on the send button more than once in a row, today it was four times, the mail then sends.
My iPhone server and my computer servers are not the same. I have more problems at the moment with my computer rather than my iPhone. Maybe I will call my server about this. I don't know if they'll know the solution. Depends on who answers the phone.
