Re: [apple-iphone] Hacked email

No. Not unless the email has an executable attachment. When you open a spam email nothing happens. if you clicked a link, such as Unsubscribe, the spammer then knows this is a real user, and will send spam to you

If I recall. This can happen when someone opens an email they shouldn't. And it grabs your contacts and starts sending emails. Typically pharmacy or weight loss

Password change usually resolved in a few days

My son's Yahoo email has been hacked, sending email to me and others containing an attachment which I haven't opened.  Who should he contact on Yahoo to clear up this matter?  I've advised him to change his  Yahoo password?  The hacked email was sent from an iPhone, whether his or not I don't know.  Is there a way to contact Yahoo directly instead of going thru the "contact Yahoo" email?  I don't know the procedures for fixing this.
