They say to connect your phone to external power when you do a Wifi sync. I'm set to do Wifi syncs with my Macbook Pro, but the only convenient external power source for the iPhone, when I'm at my computer, is the USB port ON the computer, and that is, indeed, what I use.
When you were connected to your Macbook, was the setting for Wifi or for wired sync? That is, was the successful sync when connected nevertheless a Wifi sync?
