They have to have the "premium" Apple Price - The 16GB Google Nexus 7
Tablet is $249 and while I am not going to try and justify the iPad Mini
being "worth" $50 more, Apple certainly wants to have the more expensive
cache.
I have my iPad 3 locked in to resell (have 30 days to actually ship it) and
I ordered the iPad 4 LTE which won't ship until "Mid November" so I have a
couple weeks to decide if I want to take the ~$300 hit aka 8 month rental
fee.
I also ordered the base iPad Mini which I will play play with for a few
weeks but is really a Christmas present for my mother. She uses the iPad 1
I passed down to her nearly every waking minute and does complain that her
hands h urt from holding it so much (she has Arthritis and some other
issues with her almost 70yo hands).
