My iPhone 5 may be defective. When I use the earpods to take a call the connection is breaking up all the time. If I don't use the earpods, everything is fine. So I bought a second pair of earpods ( kinda forgot about warranty) but have the same problem.
Also, when I put in the charging wire, sometimes nothing happens. I have two charging wires, so I switch wires and it works, so I switch back to the original wire and it works too. Seems to be the iPhone rather than the accessories.
So, what I'm wondering is, if I go to the Apple store, do they keep inventory on hand to handle warranty replacement? I know to order a new one they are indicating 3 to 4 weeks. But I am wondering if they keep a stash to handle replacements.
