When I go out of town I unplug a bunch of stuff that doesn't need to be plugged in while I'm gone, including the power bar that my MacBook Pro, iPad, and iPhone chargers are plugged into. One time when I got back, I got out all my devices, plugged them into their chargers, and started checking email, etc. After a while I noticed that nothing was charging. After a brief moment of panic I had a "D'oh!" moment, plugged in the power bar, and miraculously, everything started charging. :-)

I found the problem — a senior moment! I had disconnected a powered USB my iPhone was plugged in to, to do a weekly backup. I tried two different charging cables. I didn't drop the phone so there is no physical damage. Unless there is some magic I can perform, I assume the iPhone is now electronic waste. Ideas?
