Re: [apple-iphone] screen sensitivity lost

FWIW, I once had an iPhone 3GS or 4 that stopped touch responding on one half the screen. I think it was the bottom including keyboard that stopped while the upper half still responded. The bottom line was that the Genius Bar guy had seen it occur before and a cable connecting the screen to the processor had come partially disconnected. He just reconnected it and the screen was fine again after that. Might have happened to her.

daughter has old 3gs iphone that she has lots of photos on.  Her touch screen often will not respond to her touch.  Would replacing the glass screen fix this problem?  I've seen posts about replacing the screen if it gets cracked, and I was wondering if a new glass screen would be touch sensitive again, or if the problem is deeper in the phone.  Can anyone tell me?
