Re: [apple-iphone] Source of lightning cables

Just because you don't get a warning when you plugged it in does not means it is Apple certified, authorized or licensed.

Since it has connectors for a variety of brands, I would especially say it is not Apple licensed.

Oh, this looks interesting.
It's unfortunate it's only 4" long... A USB extension is also needed.
Is this good quality? Does it give the warning that it's not supported?
For the price, I may just try it with an extension cord.
I went into Best Buy today and found a nice blue cable for $12 that gives no ios7 warning, so it must be Apple certified. I want to make sure I have one good cable I can count on. The spares I can try out a couple of cheap ones I think.
Thanks everyone for the tips.

I recently was given an iPhone 5 with a broken screen which I fixed.  The next step was to get some charging cables.  I use several devices that need to be charged so I did some looking around.  There are plenty of single cables but I really wanted something that would cut the rats nest in my car.  I ended up finding something that I have not seen for sale in the US but it works well.

The one negative is the speed of delivery from China.  My first order took over 6 weeks to get here but it has been worth it.  I ordered 2 just to see if it really worked the way I thought and then placed a second order so that I could have at least one in each car and my motor home.

The standard USB connector plugs into a car adapter and then you have access to 4 different ends.  The other ends are Apple 32 pin, Apple lightning, USB mini and USB micro.

When I purchase the USB chargers, I make sure that they will do something like 3 amps plus so that more than one device can be charging at the same time.  The iPad takes 2.1 amps so either an iPhone or a hotspot can be charging at the same time as the iPad.
