Thanks, I was hoping there was something in the settings menu that would tell you.
1.) I don't have current access to a SIM card from another carrier, maybe in a few months.
2.) I don't particularly care to go through a Restore right now as I just spent 6 hours restoring phone since the restore to my backup kept glitching and after it finally restored a lot of my passwords did not come through. Not sure I want to risk that happening again if I tried.
3). Tried the IMEI.info site. Even after liking them as requested, they say service is temporarily unavailable but then try to upsell you on the Paid version instead for $2.00 to check.

If you have a SIM from another carrier and it works, then the phone is unlocked. Otherwise see Method 2 here.OttoOn 1 September 2015 at 02:30, Jay Abraham jaygroups@abrahamgroup.net [apple-iphone] <apple-iphone@yahoogroups.com> wrote:Hi
Is there an easy way to check on the iPhone if it is unlocked? I had an unlocked iphone 5 from AT&T which I unlocked through AT&T but I was having some problems with it and Apple replaced it with a refurbished iPhone 5. I forgot to ask the Genius whether it was unlocked or whether I would need to go back to AT&T to unlock?
Anyone know?
