Forgot, you CAN get it unlocked but you'll pay the Full Retail price of the phone. So basically if your on an installment Plan…then you don't get it unlocked.
Under Apple's purchase plan, you pay the full retail price of the phone – in monthly payments at 0% interest over 24 months – or you can trade it back to them at any time past 12 months and start over with the new model – or pay the remaining balance, KEEP the old phone, AND start over with a new model. And have Applecare+, AND have an unlocked phone.
