For a 128 GB iPhone 6S+, that "half-price" payment from Apple is 12 months times the monthly rate = $538.92 — which is over $170 more than Gazelle will offer you for it.

The only place (besides Apple) you will get full "half price" for a 1-year-old phone is in a private sale to some foolish person who is unaware they can save lots of money buying it elsewhere.
