Re: [apple-iphone] iPhone 6s availability

these pay plans are interesting. I may use the plan when I get a new phone again.

I found AT&T Next 24 month a good deal for me.

The 5S 64 GB I replaced was a 2 yr subsidized phone. $400 + tax upfront and $40 a month for the line.

I got a 6s Plus 64 GB $66 dollars upfront which was the tax. Then $28.10 a month for the phone with  a $25 a month credit because I have the 15  GB data plan which to me means the phone is actually costing me $3.10 a month and $40 for the line.

$3.10 x 24 months = $74.40. Add $66 taxes at the time of purchase and that means the phone is costing me $146.40 for 2 yrs.

Roughly a $300 savings, Next vs subsidized.

On the monthly statement , the $25 credit shows as reducing the phone line from $40 to $15, but it equals out to the same thing.

If you have chosen the 24 month plan and paid installments for those months (or paid it off early), you own the phone.  You also pay a lower monthly carrier fee during and after the term of the agreement; that amount per month depends on the level of data you choose.  I have a 1GB plan with AT&T so my monthly fee is $15 less than with a subsidized contract.
