I'm just asking, because I am not a beta tester. Can't you just turn off Find My iPhone, upgrade and then turn Find My iPhone on again. 

I did some sort of upgrade or re-install a little while back and that was all that was required.

Is there anything that say to erase the data? I did not think that Restore to factory default did anything to the SIM, since Apple usually ignores the SIM card.

Find my iPhone on other devices still shows old location and does not give the option to remove.

If I use erase data will that allow me to upgrade and not erase the sim?
