Re: [apple-iphone] 4G v LTE

LTE is twice the Speed of 4G when it comes to Downloading Files. But it also depends on where you are; because coverage is also a Factor; if your in a building or where cellular coverage isn't the best. But if you wanted to actually see; id suggest trying the speed test app.

Okay, pardon the supremely basic question about this here. I just bought a refurb iPad4 which is the first with 4G/LTE. I occasionally see it say 4G but usually it depicts LTE when I am using cellular. The download speeds are in the 20-25 Mbps range. What is the difference between 4G and LTE?

No. If you get LTE, you have LTE. If you get good speed with your LTE, it should be okay.

OK got my gold 5S and am totally impressed with the way it refilled from iCloud.

I have a LTE question. The phone defaults to LTE but then only 1/2 bars. 4G 4/5 bars. Does that mean that my local towers haven't upgraded to LTE? Should I care/worry?
