Thanks you for posting your solution. It made me aware that such a problem could occur (I checked some notes to be sure) and the solution is one I would have come to late in the game.

Replying to my own post, I have solved this by copying and rewriting affected "Notes". There must have been some sort of glitch in the time/date stamping of files as creating them anew has stopped the problem. I think it must have been something I did, but I have used an iphone with Outlook for years. This is a new one to me.Nick Hudd
