I want to thank Gijzette, Jim & Brent for their help. I appreciate it more than I can say. After I sent the message I went back to my iPhone to work on the issue again. I found one place I tried to access that needed the new password so I put it in. When I went back to Setting>Messages>Text Message Forwarding I was finally able to get the codes I needed for each device to let the iPhone forward non iMessages to those other devices. I hope I am totally done with all the confusion changing a password seems to have caused.
I have been putting off the upgrades largely because I understand there have been changes to iTunes that are causing some folks difficulty with how their music is shown. Every time I update iTunes it seems like a lot has changed and I don't necessarily want to deal with any major changes right now.
If any of you have any comments on that issued I would love to hear them.
Again, thanks to those who responded. I think all the suggestions had been covered by the Apple Tech but they did not work, probably because of the one last (?) place the new password needed to be changed.
