But IMAP will then make it disappear on the other devices and her husband would not be able to see the message.
Since she is sharing an acct with her husband, she will just have to live with it.

If you don't want the message to disappear from the server when using IMAP, simply don't put it into the trash. Very easy solution and one I use all the time. If you don't want saved messages clogging up your inbox, make other folders and refile the messages into them.Sandy
