Re: [apple-iphone] Re: upgrading iphone 4/att next

The way it works is as follows. There are two programs. 18 and 20. On the 18 month program you can trade in the phone after 12 months. If you keep the phone and pay for 18 months you own it. The longer program works the same way. The payments are interest free in both programs.

Pat, are you saying that with the Next program, you have to return it, but not with the old program purchases? Does it require you to update each year? Sounds more like a lease program if that is true.

I used the NEXT program & didn't have to turn in my iPhone5s which wasn't eligible for a regular upgrade, but this new phone will have to be returned at the end of twelve months when I get a new one.

Hello, I have a question about ATT Next.  For those of you who used this program, did they make you turn in your old iPhone?  Anyone use the Next program on a line where the iphone wasn't eligible for the regular upgrade?

ordered the 64GB iPhone6 using the NEXT program. The only thing I had to do to begin using the phone was to activate it (www.att.com/activations) which was a very speedy process. The instructions for the activation were included on a printed flyer in the box with the phone. I did not try putting the SIM card from the 5s into the 6.
