I purchased the leather case from Apple for my iPhone 6 Plus. I received the case already and I like it. I'm supposed to get the phone on October 6, even though initially it was supposed to arrive around October 20.

Should I be more nervous about the large screen suffering damage without a case that also covers the screen? I'v dropped my 5S many times and the case protects the screens since it protrudes a little, but does not actually cover the screen.

and it cost 10.99 compared to the $40 Apple case. It fits like a glove and it provides about the same protection that I would suppose the Apple case would. I didn't want to spend too much for a case after my investment in the phone - but I didn't want to carry around my phone in an Otterbox case (not available yet) which I know is the best protection but it adds weight and bulk from past experience. I may change my mind later but what I have now is great.
By the way, did I tell you I love the iPhone 6+
