I had ordered mine at AT&T site when the site opened for me at 3.25 EST and completed order at 3.33 AM EST on the preorder opening date of 09/12/14.

The site showed 7-10 days to ship but confirmatory mail that I got At 7.14 AM EST showed estimated shipping 10/13/14 - 10/22/14.
After a few days the ATT website showed a revised expected shipping date of 10/02/14 - 10/13/2014.
Surprisingly on 09/22/14 the status changed to shipped followed by an email from ATT with Fedex tracking number. On 09/23/14 at 3.00 pm on dot Fedex delivered the packet.
On opening the box, fell in love with this model. I was expecting a bigger size and slightly worried if I my selection was good. Now no regrets and extremely happy I ordered 6 plus.
Did not remove the plastic wrapping. Went immediately to the nearby ATT shop, finalised on an Incipio Highland folio case and a Zagg invisible shield and got the iphone activated only after dressing the iphone with the case and front film.
Updated today with 8.0.2 software.
So happy with the new toy !!!!
