VPN stands for virtual private network. It is an encrypted tunnel to keep your surfing on the web private when on public WiFi. It is a security addon that you invoke when on public internet. The problem is some of them are finicky and will drop unexpectedly. Then you are no longer protected and can get in trouble if you surf to a retail website or banking( which you shouldn't do on public WiFi). It was easy to look up and see the little vpn icon always visible. Now it is hidden like the battery percentage. Because a drop occurred once during one of my sessions I am paranoid. I keep checking control center every couple of minutes now. Ugh.

> Hi Rachel - you have to swipe down from the right side to get the control center. You can see the percentage there. A lot of folks are complaining about it. Can't be shown all the time in upper right hand corner. I dislike it and the fact when you use a vpn it isn't displayed at the top - have to look at the control center. It makes it hard to detect that the vpn may have disconnected spontaneously.
