As a result of this thread and the comments offered I joined the world of Apple Pay.
However I have not used it. Most of the stores I visit do not accept it according to my bank and my observations.
Stores include COSTCO, Home Depot, Lowes, ShopRite and Walmart. I didn't see the Apple Pay logo when checking out. I don't know if CITI Bank is providing a complete list.
Hoping to try it soon.
Thanks for the encouragement,
Bobby

I like the idea of not having to remove my wallet from my pocket so I may be migrating in an Apple Pay direction .

Can you elaborate on why doing something stupid or inadvertent is "east to avoid?"

Apple, of course, and many online "e-tailers".
