[apple-iphone] Re: iOS 11 and screen brightness

Yeah, I know about the new option to adjust brightness in the Control Center, but it's still a pain to have to keep fixing it!

I need to amend my response to Brent, however. As you noted, "auto-brightness" has moved:

"In iOS 11, you can turn auto-brightness on or off in Settings > General > Accessibility > Display Accommodations. In iOS 10 and earlier, go to Settings > Display & Brightness."

I've always kept "Display Accommodations" turned off globally, and I had assumed that doing so would also turn off the sub-option "Auto-Brightness". But since Auto-Brightness moved from Display & Brightness, it may be that it is still acting independently of the supposedly-higher-in-the-hierarchy Auto-Brightness option despite its new location. So I have now made sure that it is turned off individually as well.

Thanks to both of you. Hopefully this will take care of it!
