RE: [apple-iphone] Any issues with updating

Any time I notice an unexplained drop in battery life, or any other unexplainable anomalies, I perform a re-boot. Not just a power down, but for a pre-iPhone 7, press and hold the home and power buttons until the apple logo appears. For iPhone 7, press and hold the down volume button and the power button until logo appears. For the 8, do a momentary quick press of the up volume button, then a momentary quick press of the down volume button, followed by holding the power button until the logo appears.

Just remember, your phone is basically a computer that you can place and receive phone calls on, and any computer needs to be reset from time to time.
