I've tried a cheaper generic battery case on my iPhone 4. Didn't work out so well. Half the time I got the message "May not work with this device and didn't work. The other half of the time it worked fine. I went back to the Mophie. I always buy from the Mophie website and get the $79 movie case. I now have the iPhone 6+ and have yet to find a need for a Mophie. The battery life is excellent. Lasts me all day on a heavy use day. I have a Mophie duel power station I can use if needed also.On Mon, Mar 2, 2015 at 6:00 PM, 'Richard E Johnson, MD' RECMSOJ@OnlineOK.com [apple-iphone] <apple-iphone@yahoogroups.com> wrote:
Anne,I haven't replied yet, but FWIW, I've used Mophie battery/cases on every iPhone I've had, starting with a 3S then 4S and now 5S. I tend to use a lot of battery power for texting with my kids and surfing during the day, and sometimes will run the Mophie down to where it switches to the internal phone battery. For whatever reason, over the last say 6 months or so of having a 5S, the battery life seems to be much better than ever before, which may be the 5S itself or the switch to iOS 8.1.3 from 7.x. My phones have been dropped a fair amount (inside Mophies) since my original 3S, and I've never had a malfunction or screen crack. My current Mophie has a somewhat rubbery feeling back which does a pretty good job of helping me hold on to it. I'd definitely go and have a feel of one in an Apple or AT&T store, but I'd certainly recommend it to you on all counts of battery life, grip and protection unless you find another that suits your grip much better. They usually have at least two different battery life options, and sometimes three for the same case. I also use a Mophie belt holster to hold the phone/case clipped to my belt.DickSent from my iPad 4iOS 8.1.3, 32 GB------------------------------------------------Richard E Johnson, ScM, MD, DABAOn Mar 1, 2015, at 10:31 AM, 'AnneL' shadow484@comcast.net [apple-iphone] <apple-iphone@yahoogroups.com> wrote:I have a newly-purchased 5s. I'd like to put a juice pack on it. Looking
on Amazon, I see several models of Mophie juice packs and just wondered
which one people like best. Also, all the juice packs look smooth. I have

"grippy" cases -- is there any kind of less slippery-textured case that I
can put on my phone with the juice pack on it? No, I don't mean holster,
wallet or pouch, just a case on the phone.
Sorry, I know it's a tricky question, but I'd really appreciate some help.
Thanks,
