and.. the set up that is needed is roughly
plug the Apple TV in to a power source
connect an ethernet cable from the Apple TV to your Wifi Router
Connect an HDMI cable from Apple TV to an HDMI input on your TV
Turn on TV, change the TV's video source to match the HDMI source you plugged the HDMI cable to (from the Apple TV)
Apple TV should start up and you go to settings in the menu, follow instructions for detecting your WiFi , enter your password for the router
