Best thing is don't click on any link sent to you unless you absolutely know for certain what it is, who it's from, etc.
Go directly to the site by typing in the URL. For instance type in "yahoo mail" in the search box and go from there.
Yahoo, Apple, similar sites are not going to be sending you emails to update. You can be pretty sure that most of that type of email is not something you want to click on.
