Re: [apple-iphone] Lighting up while Sleeping

I don't use Siri, and that is why I think it is just the iPhone "phoning home" to check for network updates and/or to transfer billing info. It usually happens to me between 10PM and 1AM.

But I assume if the iPhone is awakened, and the TV is on, it could mistake the TV for you.

Something sorta the same happens to me.  I plug in my  iPhone on the bedside table each evening and crawl into bed to watch TV before falling asleep.  Periodically, the phone wakes up and Siri responds to something being said on the TV!  At first it was funny but now just an annoyance to be ignored.

I can't speak to the new phones but the older phones light up I think when you get a text. If on a dock they don't with notifications etc.

Using do not disturb may remedy your issues if your up to date. I'm not thus not able to use it.

All the best.
