I'm glad the article sited the same issue for the 5 & 5S. The TV news is not.
It's only logical that the longer and thinner phones get, no matter who makes them, will be more likely to bend.

Bad idea. I found that out a few versions ago when I broke the iFrog case on my 4S after making the mistake of putting it in the back pocket of my jeans, forgetting and sitting down. (Wasn't very comfortable either.) And I'm a lot less heavy than your average guy.
I guess the Apple engineers didn't think to subject the 6 to hours of being pressed into a chair by a warm, soft, rounded 165-lb. (more or less) weight. We suffered through antennagate. Are we about to be subjected to fannygate?
