Judy, I have a 5s, and the speaker quality on it is probably comparable to that on the 4. It's a very small speaker doing the best it can. A good alternative would be a bluetooth earpiece. It would give you more privacy and better quality.

I have an iPhone 4 that started giving me problems so I need to upgrade. A good speaker phone is very important to me as I use it the majority of the day. On the iPhone 4, the speaker was not good quality at all so I really would like a phone this time where I can use the speaker with no problem. Can anyone tell me if you have the 5s and how the speaker phone is both with hearing someone and also them hearing you. Thanks so much for the help!
