If the home button REALLY is not working, you can use the assistive touch accessibility feature to use your phone. See this article:

If it activates Siri, then it clearly IS working, at least somewhat — probably enough that the following suggestion might work:
Have you done a hard reset (Home and On/Off button held down until the Apple logo appears)?Any idea how long it would take to repair it and a rough estimate if cost?
Some folks have fixed a sticky Home button with a very small amount of 70% alcohol, and "exercising" the button.
What iPhone?
