I went the iFixit route when my battery went bad and swelled up, pushing my front panel so badly it was coming out of the case. Less than $30, about 10 minutes, replacement battery is great, holds charge, no problems at all. I use the phone all day for a lot of scientific apps - I have a Mophie case, but never need it.
