Who are "they"?
Apple?
A 3rd-party?
Is the latter, who made the battery?
How much did they charge?
If you bought Applecare+ with it, it (and its original battery) is still within warranty and would get a free replacement.
The replacement battery, if youy got it anywhere reputabvle, should itself still be in warranty after only "a few weeks".

Any number of things, from a cheap/unreliable 3rd-party replacement battery to defective circuitry in the iPhone, to various functions controlled by Settings (and discussed here many times in the past).
