That would be nice, Tony, but here in the US, the cellular providers disagree.
I am with AT&T and am grandfathered into unlimited data. (That's a joke, they start hassling the user over 3 GB, not that I get anywhere near that.) If it is even still available, then I have to add tethering for about $50/month, or I have to change to a measured plan. And the incentive to change plans is less than $5/month.
Canada providers have a different set of rules for their customer, and Europe another.
