With the mobile hotspot this is done wirelessly while tethering is usually done via USB wire between your device & your computer. I have read that tethering can also be done via Bluetooth.

My son is saying that if you have the mobile share plan with ATT, you can now tether for free? Does anyone know if this is correct? And is the tethering the same thing as using the mobile hot spot feature?Ashi
