OK thanks Otto, sounds better than using some of the very cheap charger plugs.

The USB output has to be to the USB standard (5.0 V, etc.), so it should be fine. Depending on its current rating, it might not charge as quickly, though. The same applies to USB car chargers, in case you're wondering. ;)
