My iPhone 5 has been chugging right along with no problems. I've had it about 7 months. Generally when I go to bed it is around 60-70% or so and I put it on the charger all night. Many times I've run it 2 days without charging to give the battery a chance to run low. Starting this week it is much lower when I go to charge it at night. Yesterday it was at 20% when I left work at 5:00. It was around 5% at 8:00 or so. Today it is doing better but still very low at about 30%. I haven't figured out what is happening unless the battery is going already.
I use it very little during the day and Wi-Fi and Bluetooth are turned off for at least 9 hours while I am at work due to security restrictions there. I've changed nothing else for several weeks or installed any new apps for 2-3 weeks except Starbucks. I heard that the latest OS (7.1) update runs through the battery a little faster and supposedly apps run faster, which seems to be the case. I did the upgrade back when it was first offered and I noticed only a slight decrease in battery life till this week.
Any ideas?
Thanks,
Tom
