[apple-iphone] iPhone 5 - Screen sensitivity

Is there a way to adjust the sensitivity of an iPhone 5 - particularly when it's pressed against your cheek while talking?

Over the Easter weekend I dropped my iPhone on the sidewalk, cracking the case.  The phone worked fine, but I took it in yesterday to get a new screen ($140, since both the screen and LCD needed replaced).

The phone works fine, but today I was on a call and somehow "Speaker Phone" and "Mute" kept randomly occurring.  I realized it was due to the phone being pressed against my cheek while talking.  I was not doing anything different, as far as I know, but it became frustrating as the conversation went on.

I feel like I had this issue initially with the 5 when I bought it on "Opening Day" in 2012.  But, I cannot recall if there is any adjustment at all.

Thanks for any help!

Jim
