I wish that was possible. When you select "Edit" the only option is "Mark All." The next selection is "Flag" or "Mark as Read." There is no option for "Trash." For some reason that option was removed.
I'll try the iCloud.com method and hope I can get it right.
Thanks for the suggestions.

Why not open one of the in boxes & select Edit on the upper right? Then select all, then delete?>

All of his messages will show up on the right. From there you can select all (Command/A on a Mac) and choose the trash can. Or you can hold down the COMMAND key and select the ones you want to delete - then click on the trash can. > On Jan 19, 2018, at 1:54 PM, Devitt devittad@comcast.net [apple-iphone] <apple-iphone@yahoogroups.com> wrote: > > Is there any way to delete large numbers of mail from the MAILapp all at once? My DH has over 5k on his 5S and cannot receive more until they are cleared out. That incredibly useful function seems to have been removed in one of the "updates." We share a POP account. Have you tried the highest rated email app?
With 4.5 stars in iTunes, the Yahoo Mail app is the highest rated email app on the market. What are you waiting for? Now you can access all your inboxes (Gmail, Outlook, AOL and more) in one place. Never delete an email again with 1000GB of free cloud storage.
