Have you tried the highest rated email app?
With 4.5 stars in iTunes, the Yahoo Mail app is the highest rated email app on the market. What are you waiting for? Now you can access all your inboxes (Gmail, Outlook, AOL and more) in one place. Never delete an email again with 1000GB of free cloud storage.

[apple-iphone] Re: Deleting all mail

The only method that I have found that works without having to mark each email separately is to do the following:

- hit edit and then (in lower left) mark all as unread.  (This is not absolutely necessary, but I have found that if you don't do it, sometimes the "unread" number stays even though the messages aren't there.
- Hit edit again.
- Mark the top email (dot on left)
- While keeping your finger on the "Move" on the bottom of the screen (in the middle). touch the first email (the dot will go away), then release your finger from the "move"
- You should then see a new screen that allows you to press trash and all of the emails will go into the trash.

If you have very many emails to be trashed, this may take several tries, and in some cases it may seemingly work, and then all of the emails reappear in the inbox; you then try again.  It's best to do this method with not a huge number of emails.

Hope this helps,
Nancy

Why not open one of the in boxes & select Edit on the upper right? Then select all, then delete?
Brent

I wish that was possible.  When you select "Edit" the only option is "Mark All."  The next selection is "Flag" or "Mark as Read."  There is no option for "Trash."  For some reason that option was removed.
CD

On every iPhone that I have tried it on, when I open a Mail folder and tap Edit in the upper right, a little check-circle appears in front of every message.

Tap on the ones you want to delete (or move, or whatever) to select them.

When you have selected a bunch (I've rarely done more than a few dozen at once) tap Delete and, presuming there are more to remove, start doing it again.

Once you select a few manually, or mark all, then the option of Trash appears.

[apple-iphone] Deleting all mail

Is there any way to delete large numbers of mail from the MAILapp all at once? My DH has over 5k on his 5S and cannot receive more until they are cleared out. There is no way he will take the time to remove them by checking each one individually.

It used to be possible to select all from one account and move to Trash. That incredibly useful function seems to have been removed in one of the "updates." We share a POP account. Old, yes but necessary for a number of reasons.

Any ideas or are we SOL?

Re: [apple-iphone] password manager

Gijzette,

Thanks so much for taking the time to explain.
It appears that Dashlane has updated and I am able to use it more like 1P. I was so use to using it with the cut and paste on the IOS devices, I hadn't tried it otherwise. I was looking to get the same experience on the IOS devices as with my MacBook Pro. When I have a minute to pay attention I plan to download the trial of 1P and give it a good a good workout.

I do remember going with Dashlane several years ago based on something I read comparing the two and for the life of me I can't remember what the tipping point was.

Cyndi,

I have also used 1Password on my Mac, iPhone and iPad for several years and
wouldn't think of using any other password manager. On the iPhone and iPad
you can use 1Password within Safari from the share menu. This is a feature
you have to turn on in Safari once you have 1Password installed. Then when
you get to a website you need to log into you just hit the share button,
select 1Password and type in your 1Password master password or use Touch ID
to access your password for that site. I've attached a picture so you can
see what I'm referring to. There are also a few apps that have the ability
to use 1Password to log in.

Re: [apple-iphone] Re: Health app help

The exchange, once authorized, happens automatically.

For most apps, there is a preference in the health app that needs to be set and one in Apple's Health app as well.

In Pedometer, for example, there is a preference to Merge Apple Watch Data that needs to be set to merge data with the iPhone (and watch if you have one).  In the Apple's Health app, you select Data Sources and then turn on Pedometer (or MyFitnessPal or Cardiogram, etc).

So a connection from both Health and the other app.

How do you link the apps?  Is it necessary to add info manually?  That would be too cumbersome to be useful.
