I have to agree with Leti. Podcasts on the iPhone was just fine when it was part of the Music app. When Apple separated it from the Music app and made Podcasts a standalone it became mostly unusable. I've tried it at every new iOS version in the hope they fixed it. I want to like Podcast because in theory it should match what's on the computer, meaning if I play an episode on the phone it would clear it on the computer at sync and vice versa. It did that flawlessly when part of Music.
I went with Downcast mostly based on recommendations I saw in this group. I've generally been pleased with it. I like being able to group them into playlists. I wish it could mark played episodes within iTunes on the computer.
