Re: [apple-iphone] fake parts in iPhones

I thought i was awake when i wrote that.

It should read, if Apple did not refurb it, then Apple will not repair it or warranty it.

I forgot to mention, if it is not refurb'd by Apple, then Apple will not refurb it.

The IMEI # us displayed in Settings/ General/ About and not on the case.

No, according to that T-Mobile is selling certified pre-owned phones. Certified as what, I don't know. Is that certified refurbished? Apple does not authorize or warranty pre-owned phones.

The article suggest comparing the phone to those displayed in the store, but most cellphone stores display dumbies to deter theft. Oh, and BTW, my iPhone 4S that I purchased at an Apple Store does not have the IMEI number on the back. It does have an IC number on the back, but unless it is a hexadecimal conversion, it does not match the ICCID number of the phone either.

Well, so much for Faux News.
