Re: [apple-iphone] Apple Music

Did you try Music>Radio>Recently Played being sure to tap the right facing arrow after the Recently Played?

I had saved several radio stations previously, but can't find how to get to them now, I.e., Andy Williams radio, Glen Campbell radio, etc. Any help would be appreciated.

I've never done a carrier reset but I've heard it can resolve some carrier related issues.

Re: [apple-iphone] Re: IPhone won't ring

Similar to another poster recently, I have a Mophie Juice Pack battery case on my 5s, which give it two different opportunities to confuse me. 1) the Muting button on the top left side sometimes is pushed to Off (no sound) when I put it into my Mophie holster, or occasionally I'll forget I've switched it to Off myself after coming out of a movie. 2) the switch for turning the Mophie battery on or off is quite small, on the bottom right of the back of the case. This switch is virtually always clicked to On without my knowledge by sliding the phone into my holster. My son keeps telling me to put it in battery Off position, so whenever he uses my phone, he says "Dad, it's On again!" and I have to tell him the holster did it, not me!

Re: [apple-iphone] Charging cable 5S

All lightning cables are reversable. If yours is not, then something is wrong with the cable or the iPhone.

I just upgraded to the 5S.  It uses the lightning cable and I was wondering if there is an up down to the cable or if it works regardless of which way you plug it in?  You would think there would be some kind of mark on it.

[apple-iphone] Re: IPhone won't ring

I learned the hard way about the Mute button on the left side, and now it is the first thing I check when sound is not working. I often carry my phone in a pocket of my slacks. Sometimes just sitting or moving around with the phone in my pocket apparently slides that button to mute without my being aware of it.

Phone numbers, easy, create a custom title.

2nd Bday, add it in Notes, OR create a new entry.

Check your sound settings whenever my phone does a carrier setting update the ringer volume drops to less than 20 % max that out make sure your silencers with isn't on and check your ringtone or other sounds this will give you a clue if it's your speaker or software also ...try earbuds in the sound out jack

[apple-iphone] Sync destroying data

I have been an iphone user for years, syncing with MS Outlook. My phone is now an iPhone 6 Plus.

Syncing today, after amending one of my Notes on the iphone, I discovered that Outlook had the old version of the Note. I amended the Outlook note and, after a sync, both had the old version!!! That is, the sync is reverting to the old version, whichever way I sync (both phone and PC have the correct time and date). What on earth is going on - the system is destroying new information. I have restarted both PC and phone, incidentally - no improvement.

Can anyone suggest a fix for this poor person?   I'm on a harp email list with him and would like to help him out.   There hasn't been a reply on that list that I can find.

Thanks!

As an early birthday present to myself, I bought two soundtrack CDs from a Barnes & Noble near me and copies them to my Dell Infenal—oops, Inferon—laptop. Fine so far, although it reminded me that in the last computer meltdown, I somehow lost most of the CDs I'd copies to it....and then wanted to sync my iPhone 5c with my laptop, because I realized that a) those CDs are on my phone, and I wanted to add these two new ones. That way I can play and listen to them with earbuds and not disturb John. Yes, I could use earphones on the laptop, but the ones I have are uncomfortable with my glasses. And no, I don't want to buy new ones.

The problem is that when I plugged in my phone to the laptop (and I tried different cables), I keep getting a message that the attempt has failed and the phone doesn't exist.

    My family nerd is stumped!

I would *really* like to be able to listen to these on Monday, without having to go to another room, and begin copying those CDs from the phone to the laptop, without having to get out the original CDs and do them on the laptop one by one.

Thanks in advance for any help you can give me!
