Re: [apple-iphone] iTunes and shuffle

Bob,

How are you getting the audio files to your iPhone?

If you download them to your Mac in iTunes, then click on the file and Get Info. Under Options tab, click Skip when shuffling.

I listen to recorded audio lectures/ programs via iTunes on my iPhone.

I like to listen in a particular order, usually just by clicking on the subject.  If i am driving I prefer to just let the next program play instead of handling the iPhone. This method has worked well for a good while.

However, now the iPhone shuffles the programs so that they do not play in the order I prefer.

If I only have my usual three lectures to listen to this is not a big deal BUT when I occasionally miss a day or two it becomes aggravating with the jumping around from one subject to another.

Can I disable the shuffle?  I can't find how to turn it off either in the phone or in iTunes on my iMac.

In the bottom right hand corner of the iPhone screen "shuffle all" is highlighted in red.

When I refer to program above it is analogous to song.

Thanks,

Bobby
