Many thanks for all the information.
Does it really natter where the file is? The only use is to restore from whole the file, correct?
Yes it does, because when I am doing my normal computer backup I noticed that the iPhone backup is NOT included, and I want to correct this.
Having had a hard drive fail in the past I like to make sure I am covered.
Once again many thanks.
Barry

If you are using a pc - make sure you have enabled "show hidden files, folders or drives" under organize folder options. The backup is in
C:/users/your user name/AppData/Roaming/Apple Computer/MobileSync/Backup
All your apple devices will have backups located in this folder.

Hello, I have the 5s iPhone.
I back this up to my computer and iCloud using iTunes.
But I cannot find where this backup is on my computer.
I have looked in the iTunes programme folder.
Any thoughts?
Barry
