There is no way in the world that I would spend that much on a 3 year old phone. Replace it with an iPhone 6.Or try to do the repair yourself. You can get the parts cheaply and excellent instructions from iFixit.
Just be aware that fixing it yourself (which I have done multiple times with my iMac 2007) will void the remaining Apple or AppleCare Warranty.
The iPhone in question is described as 3 years old.
There IS no remaining warranty.
