Excellent advice, however:
1) I'm in Canada, with the exchange rate, the cost is actually about $70 in USA funds.
2) I prefer to buy the phone, rather than the usual rent-to-own contract. A new iPhone 6, 64 GB, at the Apple Store is $969 cdn, + 15% tax, plus shipping. Though I'd love an new 6, I can't afford that right now...
3) I asked myself if I'd pay cdn $90 for a good used 64 GB 4s, for a backup, and decided I would. So investing the same to keep my own phone is viable.
4) I have experience repairing electronics and considered trying to fix it myself. But I cannot function without my phone, so don't dare risk it to an amateur!
